Kosovo political crisis: AKR calms down – parties soften tone – further canditates?

Adem-DemaciPRISTINA, Kosovo ++ After ultimately urging its coalition partner PDK to guarantee for an anew election of Pacolli as President of Kosovo, Pacolli’s AKR now softens its tone by saying, they never set conditions but expressed re-quests.  LDK head Isa Mustafa was even quoted as saying, LDK would support Pacolli’s election in case of early – then direct – presidential and parallel parliament elections in summer 2012. Likewise AAK stated, the problem could be solved. Meanwhile Defence Minister Agim Çeku and acting head of AKR  Ibrahim Makolli are con-sidered as alternatives for the presidency, whereas Vetevendosje proposed former KLA representative and Sakharov Prize awarded Adem Demaci as a possible candidate.

Some tension was raised by PDK MP Limaj, saying PDK head  Thaci would be responsible for the decrease of PDK’s political reputation, based on the wrong decision to run a coalition with AKR, “which started and ended wrongly”: For more news go to BI, News Monitor 05.04.2011, Broadcast Monitor 04.04.2011.
