Kosovo: Minister Rexhepi continues attacks on EULEX and Serb parallel structures

EULEXPRISTINA, Kosovo — The Minister for Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Bajram Rexhepi, seemingly wont withdraw from beforehand reported state-ment about EULEX: "There is no good … God save us". According to Kosovar media Rexhepi had a conversation with EULEX Deputy Head Andy Sparkes, after which he concluded: "I will not remove a point, or comma of what I said". Reportedly Minister Rexhepi even continues his attacks: “EULEX has no readiness to act in the north. Obstacles will continue for months and years” he was quoted as saying in a debate on security in Kosovo. …

There Rexhepi also stated, the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) would be present in Kosovo and EULEX police would know about it.

In this context a report was presented, saying that “economic and political groups in the north are interested in keeping the status quo in the north, uncontrolled borders, … creating conditions for smuggling of goods from Serbia to Kosovo, and vice versa.”KON – For more take a look at the News Monitor.
