Pacolli drinks Coffee …

DPM Pacolli, LilaPRISTINA (PRISHTINA) – After his forced resignation from the office of the President of Kosovo, businessman and head of the political party AKR accepted his “promo-tion” to the position of the “first deputy prime minister”. This was offered to Pacolli by PDK head and Kosovo PM Thaci in order compensate the anger of AKR about its loss of power, after US ambassador Dell instructed the ruling coalition and LDK to accept the recently voted Atifete Jahjaga as the new President of the republic.

In his new position Pacolli was foreseen to improve the international economic relations of Kosovo as well as to enhance Kosovos formal recognitions, which for now did not exceed the number of 75 countries.

On this regard Pacolli seemingly caused further confusion by raising the question if his new post goes together with a replacement of the current minister for foreign affairs Enver Hoxhaj. The AKR in addition requested to place 2 more ministers and 3 more deputy-ministers.

Meanwhile observers of the political scene in Kosovo complained a repeated absence of the new “first DPM” Pacolli at government meetings. Until now AKR and government officials explained this with the “physical absence” of Pacolli, as to travels abroad in order to fulfill mentioned duties.

Despite these excuses, the Kosovar daily Bota Sot “discovered” “first DPM Pacolli”  drinking coffee at a bar right in front of the government building – at the time when the last government’s meeting took place. He was joined by “second DPM” Mimoza Kusari-Lila (also AKR), who made a break from the meeting at which Pacolli was missing due to his – pretended – “physical absence” from Kosovo. – KON / NK
